Simple squamous epithelium tissue-
This is compose of a single layer of flatted cell.
-the cell fit closely together like a flat stone forming a thin very smooth membrane.
-diffusing take place freely through this thin, smooth linning.
Ex.- Heart,blood vessels,Lymph vessels,Alveolai

simple cubodial epithelium tissue-
they consist of cube shape cell fitting closely together lying on basement membrane.
Ex. – It form the kidney tubule and is found in some gland.
Cubodial epithelium is actively involved in absorption secretion and excretion.
Simple columnar epithelium –
this formed by a single layer which is rectangular in shape and lying on a basement membrane.
It is found in the lining of the alimentary canal and consist of a moisture of cell.
some cell absorb the product of digestion and some cell secrete the mucus (Goblet cells)
Simple ciliated epithelium –
cilia are microscopic hair projection present on the free-surface of columnar epithelium it present uterine tube (Fallopian tube) the cilia propane Ova towards the utras.
and in the respiratory passes way propal the mucus towards the throat.
Stratified squamous epithelium
Stratified epithelium consist of several layers of cell of various shape.
The superficial layer grow up from below.
bsement membrane are usually absent the main function of stratified epithelium is to protect underline structure form mechanical war and fear.
There are two main type –
1. Stratified epithelium
2. transitional epithelium
stratified epithelium –
it is composed of several layer of cell in the deepest layer mainly columnar cell they grow toward the surface they become flattened and are than shed
stratisfied squamous epithelium are divided into two types –
non-keratinised
keratinsed
–non-kertinised stratified squamous epithelium – This is found on wet surface (moist surface) and it protect from drying. Ex. – conjectiva of the eye,lining of mouth,pharynx,esophagus and the vagina
–keratinised stratisfied squamous epithelium – This is found on dry surface Ex- skin,nails,hair. It contain keratin protein. (water proof)
Transitional epithelium –
this is composed of sevral layers of per cell.
It is found lining the urinary bladder and it allows for stretching as the bladder filled.
